::Exceptional small museum, with very interesting exhibits and a clear window into Ålands past. Highly recommended, the entrance fee was 10 euros.

::Really well thought out and curated intro to the history of the Bomarsund fortress. The building housing the exhibition is architecturally appealing and cool, which on a hot day you will appreciate. I really liked the audiovisual parts of the exhibition and the texts were luckily not too long but concise and to the point. Well done!

::I really enjoyed the visit. The exhibition was very informative, presented in a modern and well digestable form. Such an interesting chapter of modern nordic history!

::This very new visitor center give some more detailed overview over the situation of the Ålands while the russians were here. It really gives mire background information and context of the duration and the arrangements with the locals. Today you hardly can imagine that most of modern finland was russian territory later including the Ålands. It were the political policies of expansion that changed and made neighbours to enemies. History keeps on repeating on and on.

::Excellent presentations of history. Transforms the ruins, i.e. few stones to living and breathing life. Combine this with the walking tour, 4.2 km, and you have a vivid picture of the place at its construction time. The personnel are friendly and helpful. The Walking tour has steep ups and downs, and smooth rocks surfaces, not for wet conditions.
